The Lord, our Protector

Well God brought us through the crisis........... The anniversary of September 11th has come and gone without incident. Praise His name!

"'Had it not been the Lord who was on our side,' let Israel now say. 'Had it not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us; then they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger was kindled against us; then the waters would have engulfed us. The stream would have swept over our soul; Then the raging waters would have swept over our soul. Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us to be torn by their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; the snare is broken and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 124)

Don't doubt for a minute that we are safe right now because God protected us. And now that we have passed that danger, we must work not to let our guard down. We need His presence and protection every day. Don't be lulled into thinking you can handle the next crisis on your own. Call on the Lord and lean on Him.

Psalm 123:1-2 says, "To Thee I lift up my eyes. O Thou who art enthroned in the heavens. Behold as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He shall be gracious to us."

Finally, Psalm 127:1 says, "Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain."

Thank the Lord with me for His graciousness and patience. Let us remember together that He is not willing that any should perish........
